It's the last day to catch Billboard Commercial Break - Art in Public Space by Haraldur Jónsson.For three years running Billboard commissions artists to create an artwork in public space in collaboration with Y gallery and Reykjavík Art Museum. During the period 1.-3.January 2024 there has been a Commercial Break on Billboards 550 screens across the city of Reykjavík. During this time Haraldur Jónsson has presented an exhibition of a new work called Ummyndanir which has revealed a new chapter each day since the new year began.
A selection committee which was appointed to review the applications with representatives from Y gallery, Reykjavík Art Museum, Billboard and The Association of Icelandic Artists, chose Haraldur's submission in 2023.
