Skaftfell: Relay, the word passed on

The Icelandic Art Center is proud to present Relay – the
word passed on – a monthly column. We invited Skaftfell,
Center for Visual Art in East Iceland to be the first contributors
and asked them to nominate a second one. In this first column you´ll get a
glimpse into the art scene in the remote East fjords of Iceland.

This is is their story.

Skaftfell nominated RoShamBo,  a collaboration of three artists residing in
Seyðisfjörður. RoShamBo use local materials in their projects and have a
particular and indeed playful approach to recycling and sustainability. In
their studio in Seyðisfjörður, they host 
various events and occasional pop-up shops.
