Angle
Anna Álfheiður Brynjólfsdóttir

Angle is the eighth solo exhibition by Anna Álfheiður Brynjólfsdóttir and consists of twelve works, including three-dimensional paintings and plexiglass pieces. Though the materials differ, the works share a common origin.
The paintings evoke a textile-like quality, while simultaneously approaching sculpture through their tactile surfaces. With delicate craftsmanship—where form and material converge—they reference traditional handcrafts of the past: the legacy of women, where every thread was placed with care and sensitivity.
Anna Álfheiður (b. 1977) graduated with a B.A. in Fine Art (2009) and an M.A. in Art Education (2020) from the Iceland University of the Arts. In recent years, she has explored abstract three-dimensional forms where geometric minimalism meets poetic perception. In this exhibition, she investigates the boundaries of artistic form alongside the viewer’s experience.
