Autism diagnosis
SVAVS

I don't feel like I've really done anything during the last semester at school (lhí) but yet so many things happened.
I enrolled in a performance course that I didn't want to go to at all but there was just nothing else available. There I stepped on "stage" and did things that I would have never done otherwise.
Little by little, new doors opened for me that I thought were just closed to a person like me but the right time, right setting and or the right people had possibly never been there. Until now.
My view of life and the future was distorted and I'm now heading in a different direction and my mother has never been more proud of me.
The challenges of last school year forced me to look inward. I am autistic and it can be really limiting but my autism is also my greatest and best strength.
The works in this exhibition are the result of research work on myself and my autism during my last year of art at the Iceland Academy of the Arts.
Exhibition opening is Thursday June 5th from 18:00-20:00 and all are welcome!
